Telehealth Appointments

We are currently providing FREE phone and video chiropractic consultations (Telehealth) to enable us to provide you with continued support. Click here to find out more about what to expect from a Telehealth appointment, or complete the form on out 'Contact Us' page and our Principle Chiropractor Andrea will get in touch to book you in.

Rather than charging for our appointments we are instead giving patients the option to donate to City Hospice, as we would like to support charities at a time when fund raising events have been adversely affected during these difficult times. We have a 'Go Fund Me' page set up if that's something you would like to do.

What is Chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a government regulated profession in the UK, and in order to practise in the UK all chiropractors must have undertaken a four year degree course at a recognised university, and complete a one year post-graduate development course (PRTs) to be able to register with the General Chiropractic Council (GCC). To retain their annual registration chiropractors are required to continually update their skills through continued professional development (CPD) each year.

Please see the General Chiropractic Council and British Chiropractic Association websites for further details.

What should I expect on my first visit to a chiropractor?

Your first appointment includes:

  • Taking a history of your condition
  • Medical history
  • Examination
  • Report of findings
  • First treatment (if appropriate)

Through the appropriate history taking and examination we will formulate a diagnosis, and if you are happy, we follow up by providing the appropriate treatment. In some cases the treatment we can offer may not be the best option for you, in which case we would make the appropriate referral on you behalf, and support you in finding a solution to your problem.

To ensure the best outcome, and reduce the likelihood of re-injury our chiropractor offers a physical rehabilitation service tailored to you and your needs. One-on-one tuition provides you with peace of mind and support to get the best results.

The video below is a British Chiropractic Association (BCA) publication, which explains in more detail what to expect.
